Small one is a throwaway, the big one worked 'till it clogged
This expensive pack has two caps, one large and one small. They both have holes in the end of the caps, and a spike with a ring handle that you poke through the hole. Quite a bit like just poking a thin nail or a stick into the end of the caulk tube - except that you have this extra yellow sleeve with a hole in the end that fits around your tube. So what's the point of that cap with a hole in the end if you're just going to poke a nail-like spike down into the tube anyway? The small one was messy and didn't keep the caulk from drying any better than a nail does. I threw it away. The large one though is the right size for the quart-size glue tube I use a lot. And after a plug of glue sets in the extra long end of the cap it glues the spike into the cap and seals the thing together. Then it does a much better job of preventing dry-out. Because the thing is extra long it contacts more of the long (quart-size) caulk tube nozzle, and I think it seems to seal the thing better than anything else I've used. Definitely better than a nail, but unfortunately every time I used it a little more glue got deposited down inside the thing. After about a dozen uses the cap was full of glue that couldn't be pulled out because of the spike, and I had to throw the big cap away too. So the big one works pretty well for awhile, and I estimate the cost ends up being about fifty cents per use.

Question Longevity
Have been seeking a product like this for awhile to replace the old "stick a spike in it" solution to seal an open caulk tube. I have only used it once, but seems like it will do the job. My only reservation is the longevity of it due to the flimsiness of the interior prong that inserts into the caulk tube. Seems like it is likely to snap off but will see what happens.

Let us pick the size
They work great. They shipped 2 sizes small and big . It would have been nice if they asked what size you would use. The small one is for 1/8 inch to 3/16 the bigger one is from 3/16 to 3/8. I don't use the larger one because I don't have that large of crackes to fill. Iam a G C and like the concept .

Cheap and Works like a Charm
Very few times in my life have I ever had need of a full tube of caulk. Most of the time, when need arose, I would get out the old partly used tube, pull out the nail used for a stopper and find the remaining caulk unusable. Then it would be off to the store to buy a fresh tube, use part of it and again stopper it with a nail. You'd think I'd finally learn!!Well, I did!! And this little stopper, unlike a nail, works!!.Think about it, you set out to do a five minute "Patch Job" which turns out to be a two hour job because you need go to the store for a new tube of caulk.Don

Great Product, a little unclear as to what comes in the package.
I wish I had invented these. I was a little disappointed when I opened the package to find 2 different sized plugs. The one is perfect for almost all sized openings. The second one is too small for anything I do. I guess I assumed they would both be the same. They are not, so I bought 2 and can only use 1. Bummer! Great, other than that.

Ripped off the caulk nozzle when I tried to pull it off
Terrible waste of money. I haven't tried taking the first one I tried off of the caulk tube so I don't know how that one is going to turn out. The second one was a $12 1/3 used tube of ProFlex RV (expensive). I had only closed it for about a week, but the caulk stuck hard inside the Seal-A-Tube the nozzle pulled right off of the tube. I tried for a while to get the nozzle out of the Seal-A-Tube to reuse it and gave up.I'm going back to using twist-on wire nuts to cap my caulk tubes.

Nifty little gadget
I like that it looks like an Ankh. Good for keeping liquid nails and caulking semi-fresh. I hate wasting those tubes and this helps. There are two caps included with two different diameter pointed "plugs" in the center that go down into the tube.

... the Prazi Usa Seal-a-Tubes before and have had very good luck with them
Have purchased the Prazi Usa Seal-a-Tubes before and have had very good luck with them. Opens the caulking tube and seals very well. Makes caulking much easier.
