All USB ports may be utilized simultaneously.
This unit alleviates the poor design of most other similar products where the USB ports placed too close to each other physically is impossible to insert USB drives next to each other. I myself am guilty in the past of actually owning a four port USB adapter ( two ports could be used at once) where only two USB devices may fit in the adapter simultaneously due to varying USB sizes needing to go on a diet bc they are too large to allow another USB drive to fit adjacent to an already installed USB device. Actually since there is not a size standard for USB port physical dimensions, one would assume a USB adapter would actually accept the number of devices as there are physical ports (queue gong sound), do not ASSume. This device will accept three simultaneous USB devices. The device also has one slot for an SD memory card and one slot for Micro SD memory card. Did I mention it is USB 3.0 instead of USB 2.0 for faster transfer speeds. Since USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0, why are 2.0 ports still being manufactured? There is the $64,000 question for the week. Former Chrysler Dimensional Engineer I would definitely recommend this item, well designed.

Cable too short, won't work with extender
As a photographer, I needed an SD card reader on top of my desk rather than having to crawl under to use the computer slot. Having extra USB ports was ideal to be able to plug in an external hard drive, charge a phone and relocate the dongle for better keyboard/mouse response. The cord is too short, which I expected and also purchased a USB data grade extension cord to solve that problem. Alas, the thing won't work with an extender. It does the connect/disconnect dance if not connected directly to the computer. It works great when connected direct.Easy fix? Make the accompanying cord swappable.

Small, portable and useful
My honest reviewWhat I liked about this product: Quick way to open up a few more USB 3.0 ports as well as offering MicroSD and SD card reader. Includes on/off toggle letting you disconnect up to three USB devices at one time. Small enough to go in a briefcase for taking it on the road. Also long enough cord to plug into the back of the average computer and make the extra ports available on top or to the side. What I disliked about this product: This isn't a standard dock, there's not a lot of weight to it so you'll either have to let it lay where the cable lets it land or add some hook and latch/double sided tape to make it stay where you want. What do I think can be done to improve on this product: The manufacturer should consider shipping with a 1" double sided tape and advertise that it can tape to the PC or wall or desk and stay where you want. Even better, hook and latch so it can be taken with you or quickly attached to your laptop when you want the extra ports available.About Me: IT Professional out of Washington State.Whom do I buy for?: Myself and three generations of family. What type of products do I like/purchase?: Electronics, Software, Technology, Body Hacking (food/drugs), reading materials

Great Hub for the Money--Works Flawlessly
This mini hub is great! This is the second one I have purchased. The hub is very easy to use. It is plug-and-play which means it needs no external power source. A very nice feature is it will accept the two most used sizes of SD Cards along with 3.0 Flash Drives. The power switch energizes the entire device at once, this is a good feature because plug-and-play flash drives activate singularly when they are plugged in any way. Also, EACH port is separately titled on your computer display screen so they can be easily identified. Also, you can leave your media plugged into the hub and turn off the unit. When you turn the unit back on the drives re-activate. Very "handy" feature. Here is a little bit of a "warning"----do not plug another hub into the hub you are using. This will cause problems in that it "confuses" the hub/computer and the device will not function properly. Plug the HUB DIRECTLY INTO YOUR COMPUTER for best and accurate operation. These are great hubs for the money and work flawlessly (if you know how to operate your Windows 10 computer software). For the average computer user this hub should meet all of your normal, usual needs.

Very convenient
I'd lost an entire day of photos by regular sd adapters and didn't want to lose the USB ports. Instead, I have extras and a very reliable sd adapter as well, now.

Power button?
Generally easy to use and handy. Only for USB devices you wouldn't see any problem. But if you plan to use the card reader along with other USB devices hooked up, it is not gonna work.Problem: When eject the SD Card, and reenter it, the computer doesn't recognize your SD Card until you reset the whole unit by turning off/on in order to have the card reader slot to recognize the SD card.In this case you need to reset the whole unit which turns off all the plugged USB devices.
