AeromaxAeromax Jr. Fire Fighter Bunker Gear, Black, Size 6/8

Like many other little boys his age, my son is OBSESSED with all things firefighter right now. If you want to get your little guy something that makes him look and feel like a real firefighter, this is your suit. My son's only current problem with it is that it is too hot to keep on very long in the middle of this hot summer. :) I will say that the zipper on our first pair broke almost automatically (the little silver piece at the bottom popped off), but Amazon was quick to send a replacement. We ordered the 4/6 size and my son just turned 3 years old this month and is very tall for his age (about 35lbs and 38 inches tall-85% and 95% percentiles respectively from what I recall). The 4/6 is slightly long on him, but we just roll them up. I'd rather have them a little big so that he can wear them a long time. We bought paired this suit with the Western Chief Rubber Boots and the AeroMax black fireman's helmet.

My son had this exact costume a few years ago and wore it non-stop for 2 years before he outgrew it. The first one we had was exceptional quality and we loved it! The details were so much like a real fireman's gear. The clips on the jacket were metal and there was amazing detail throughout the costume. We passed it down to a friend and he still wears it.When he asked to be a fireman again this year I immediately reordered the same costume. The quality is definitely better than something you would get at the store, however, it was nothing like our first costume. I was very disappointed to see how much they have changed. Metal clips are now plastic. Nowhere near the quality that it used to be but the price is still about the same as what we paid originally.

We had so many compliments on my son's Halloween costume/Fireman suit, even the real firemen took pictures with him. The material is solid and seems durable. Machine washable ( I dried on very low heat). The reduced stars are due to the button straps, both buttons tore off and hand to be sewn back into the costume by someone that knows what they are doing...aka not me...thankfully we have a friend that was able to repair it quickly for us. My son is normally a size 7 and we order the 8-10 it fit perfectly, so I would say it runs a tad small. There are Velcro straps on the bibs that can be used to cinch them in and the red straps are also adjustable. Overall, I would buy this again, just watch out for the buttons and maybe secure those a head of time to make it easier.

This gear is above and beyond! My husband and Is a firefighter and my son is so into it. This gear is as close to real as you could ask for. Minor details like the hooks, hand covers, and flaps are all there. The straps are super adjustable so it can grow with them a lot. My son is a small boy for his age and wears a 2T. The 2-3T size has plenty of room for him to grow and use for at least 2 more years. We got his name and dept added to the back for personalization and the material held up so well with that. I give this a 15/10!!!

This is a very nice quality costume. My son will more than likely wear the jacket everywhere this fall - - it's going to be worn beyond the normal use of a costume, which makes me feel a bit better about spending the money. I like that there are adjustable suspenders. It's makes it easy to layer and will be able to be worn longer. There are no obnoxious logos or labels to contend with. There are very nice pockets to keep his firefighter "gear" in. This one is not offered as a personalized version [at least I couldn't find that option anywhere], but we were able to purchase some yellow tape, which did the trick. The size seems true to standard sizing - perhaps closer to the generous end of the range. My son is 6 but has short legs for his age [size 4 in many pants], and for now, at the highest point of inseam, lifting with the suspenders, we could still turn the bottoms of the legs up into a short single cuff. Good for growing into but not unwieldy. The fabric and stitching appears to be high quality, and the value is much better than many similar products I saw and considered buying.

I’m currently pregnant with my first child. His father and I are both firefighters. I bought the 2-3 size so he can grow into it... also, so he can remember his playtime in his gear. But the quality of this gear is remarkable for kids. Even the neck flap is so similar to our own gear. I will be buying gear from this company as he grows. I just wish we could get it customized with their name and fire department upon order in the smaller sizes. I’d give this ten stars then! Keep truckin guys and gals! 🚒🚨👩🏼‍🚒👨🏻‍🚒

I knew this product was the real deal before I even bought it. My friend works for the fire department and her two kids have the gear and helmet. Amazing quality, has all the little pockets and closures all in the same places as the real get-up. My son IS IN LOVE with it and wants to wear it all EVERYWHERE!! That's a little bit of a problem because we live in Houston and the gear gets hot, so definitely keep that in mind. It will be perfect for Halloween if the temps drop some. My son is about to turn 3 (38.5 in and 36lbs.) and I bought the size 4-6. Its big on him but we just rolled everything up and it looks fine (and it'll grow with him!)

I got this outfit for my almost 3 year old to match his dad's real gear. I bought a size 2/3. It fits incredibly! The quality of it is more than I expected. Its very sturdy "real like" turn out gear material! I am so, so thrilled. This is something I wish I could give more than 5 stars to.I totally recommend this if you are looking for a rescue squad or firefighter turn out gear! It matched so well to his dads Rescue Squad gear!
