These swabs are very pointed and hard, they excel at getting into tight corners and crevices. Because they are quite hard, they are not particularly good for cleaning larger areas. A good item for a specific purpose, but not a replacement for typical cotton swabs.

I use these things for cleaning stuff, not just guns. They do still work for cleaning guns!
