My children ages 4-8 really enjoy this book. We have collected most of the books in this series because they have beautiful illustrations, have a lot of useful information and I really like that it’s a hard cover. Well worth the money.

The Usborne Beginners series of nature books just can't be beat. They are simple but PACKED with good scientific information. I have basically all of them, from Bats (can only get from the UK, but can do that through Amazon) to Elephants, Tadpoles and Frogs to the Rain Forest...all great, readable, educational books, wonderfully illustrated!

Got this for a 6 year old to encourage reading. Wanted to get something that would interest him, not so good for mammy reading it with him. I have learned a lot more about spiders. He loves the pictures and the facts and that it grosses mammy out.Good book illustrations are good and the facts are interesting. He loves poring over it and it has encouraged him to read it by himself so it has done the job it was intended for.

I had been looking for this book since it was discontinued by the manufacturer. Arrived very quickly! My spider obsessed son loves it!

It is an informative book nice hard back and would be useful for a child. I was dissapointed as I thought it was totally UK spiders nevertheless it has served its purpose as my daughter is fascinated by the illustrations and partly overcome her fears .
