I was expecting a stronger massage given that it's an expensive piece of equipment. I had an older Homedics massage cushion that did a greatjob unit it died. So much so that when i put it on spot massage it would continuously plow thru the toughest kinks in my lower back while i stronglyleaned on it on a 45 degree angle. I havent done that on this machine yet but since the kneading massage is a side to side as opposed to rotary motion around the same spot, the side to side motion doesnt really reach the full back muscle, meaning both sides of each muscle along the back. The kneading side to side function / movement just pushes the the back muscles on each side of the spine into the spine. It doesnt climb thru the muscle and moves it into and out of your spine. I guess if you dont have lower back problems this will be fine for you. If you do have issues with your back get something stronger. I'm still looking for a strong massage cushion that i can break on my back again. My old Homedics massager would leave burn marks on each side of my spine, that's how strong it was. I bought a new Homedics and it totally sucks, the massage knobs dont pop out of the cushion and the motor is weak and the programing totally sucks. So if you have something that's working for you and it dies.. dont throw it away, look to find a way to fix it until you can get something that compares to it..!Ok, i must say that this has a leather cover that you can remove so that you can get a stronger massage. I did do that and still wasnt too happy.Then again, im comparing this to the very strong massage i used to get so, If you have a chance to try this in a store do it. I've tried the massage chairs in planet fitness and im not impressed either. What they call a percussion massage is a stronger side to side motion of the rollers, stronger kneading, blah.. a percussion is a hit, as in a thumping.. Dont expect no thumping here.. just a silly side to side shake.

My boyfriend would get massages on occasions and I thought this would be a perfect gift for him. I got this as a surprise gift and when it arrived he had this biggest smile like a child on christmas morning. It was very easy to put together and very light to move around. It has wheels at the bottom for easy moving which we didn't see until after we moved it. He plugged it in and turned on the switch on the left side of the chair. It had different options on what kind of massage you want and location. He fell in love with it the moment he hit the button. The chair is very comfortable. This is definitely worth it.

A good friend of mine bought this massage chair and we have girls nights once a month and we all fight over sitting in it. I bought one for my husband and I and I use it a few times a week. For me is its just perfect because I love a good, hard massage. It soothes my sore muscles and relaxes me. I sit in my chair and sip on wine and have sometimes nodded off to sleep. Although for my Husband and step daughter who bruise very easy, they felt it was too hard and painful. For me, I love it. I would suggest trying it out before you buy it to make sure you like. I love my iJoy massage chair!

I don't like massage chairs, I don't like the hospital look they have, they are heavy, they don't come in many different colors, and I prefer human massages. I have a strong back and I prefer La Z Boys to cuddle up in, and we had the warming, vibrating kind of La Z Boy. But spouse has a chronic back condition and he really, really wanted a real massage chair.This is the second Human Touch chair we tried, we shipped the other chair back to the seller after one day, neither of us could tolerate its super hard massage, and it was awful to sit in when off. This chair has an adjustable massage as it comes with a padding pillow that slips into a zippered pocket. We use the pillow and can have a gentler massage.The model is sitting sideways in the chair and this is one of its great features when off--it's comfortable. You can't quite cozy up in it but I can definitely take a nap in it, in my case with a pillow behind my neck. We are both tall (6'1 and 5'9), I'm 220 pounds, and we both fit fine.The chair does not add any style to our particular living room decor, but it blends in well enough. As everyone says it's low to the ground, we use a meditation pillow as a foot rest. We're in our late 50's early 60's, we pop out of this chair no problem, but we are both fairly athletic.

We purchased this chair brand new in the box. We had a problem with the remote buttons not working. We reported the problem. It took 2 weeks to get a replacement pad insert and the top part to tell you what the buttons are for was not sent. 9 days later the top part comes in the mail torn and looks like it was used. Multiple phone calls to Chair Envy and Human Touch and extremely poor customer service. Not returning email messages, not returning phone calls, transferring my call to multiple people to waste even more of my time. My recommendation is to buy a different product at a reputable furniture store where you can take try it out and if there is a problem, you can bring it back.
