Life-changing
I had never used a Kenwood mixer before and honestly didn't really see the point. This was until my mum treated herself to one in order to make my wedding cakes. I loved it so much that my husband and I got one as a wedding present afterwards. Once you've used it, you can never go back! The in-built scales and two mixing bowls save so much faff. The splash cover means I can mix icing sugar without it covering every item in the kitchen with a layer of white dust and you can add liquid ingredients without stopping the mixer. All the attachments are very effective. My favourite is the creaming tool - it scrapes the edges down so well and is amazing for beating butter. I've used the mixer mostly for making cake batter, but also used the hook to make pizza dough. The mixer is very heavy and quite large. It's currently taking up an entire cupboard by itself and I have to take care lifting it out. I also wish it had the light and the warming feature that the fancier models have, but I couldn't justify the extra cost. It's an expensive item, but it is so versatile and meant to be very long lasting. If you bake regularly, it will change your life!

Ideal
What an excellent product. Ive found my love of baking again. It’s a decent size machine and a lovely colour. The splash guard is a welcome extra. The weight function is fabulous and a great time saver. Mixers the ingredients very well. Small downside is the bowl doesn’t have a handle.

Expensive, but worth it!
I have been using the Kenwood Titanium Chef Baker XL for several months now, and it has truly transformed my culinary experience. As an avid home baker, I was searching for a reliable, versatile, and powerful kitchen machine, and this model has exceeded my expectations in every aspect.First and foremost, the build quality of the Kenwood Titanium Chef Baker XL is outstanding. The sleek and modern design complements any kitchen decor, and the sturdy construction assures me of its durability. The machine's powerful 1400W motor handles even the toughest doughs with ease, making bread-making a breeze. The K-Whisk attachment is a game-changer. It effortlessly whisks egg whites to stiff peaks and creams butter and sugar to the perfect consistency for cakes and cookies. The planetary mixing action ensures that all ingredients are thoroughly combined, eliminating the need for manual scraping down the bowl's sides. One of the features I particularly appreciate is the electronic speed control, which allows for precise adjustments depending on the task at hand. Whether I'm folding in delicate ingredients or kneading heavy dough, I can do so with confidence, knowing that the machine will maintain a consistent speed. The Kenwood Titanium Chef Baker XL also comes with a generous 7-liter bowl, which is perfect for large batches of recipes. The splash guard is a thoughtful addition, keeping my kitchen counter clean and reducing mess during the mixing process. Additionally, the machine is compatible with a wide range of attachments, making it incredibly versatile for various culinary tasks beyond baking.Cleaning the machine is straightforward, as most parts are dishwasher-safe. The quick-release mechanism for the mixing bowl and attachments is user-friendly, making assembly and disassembly a hassle-free process. In summary, the Kenwood Titanium Chef Baker XL, Kitchen Machine with K-Whisk is an exceptional investment for any serious home baker or cook. Top upgrade. The built in scales are great
The media could not be loaded. Upgraded from a basic stand mixer and I love this one so far. It's quieter and more powerful. The built in scales save so much time for me as I bake bread often

Really good food mixer - with really useful built-in scales
This was a cracking deal - less than half RRP. This this is big enough for any home baking requirements. It comes with three attachments (dough hook, whisk and the 'K' mixer paddle) and it supports extras (which I haven't yet purchased). The built-in scales and timer function are really useful - I thought they would be kind of gimmicky, but they are in fact really useful. You can just add ingredients straight to the bowl without having to get scales out and use another container to weigh them. Overall really happy with this.

Early days, but some reservations
The bowls on this stand mixer are enormous and so are the various beaters, making storage a challenge, as they don’t all fit in the bowl. The bowls are stainless steel, so they show every fingerprint and tiny spot of grease on the outside. The mixer is extremely heavy, so really needs a permanent place on the worktop. On the plus side, it looks like it is built to last and if I can get my head around the compatibility of all the options available, the different attachments that can be added will make this machine very versatile. However, don’t ask Kenwood for advice about compatibility, as they told me that there was no folding tool available for my machine, whereas the instructions include the model numbers for all the compatible attachments, including a folding tool. ( I only discovered that after contacting Kenwood.)My biggest worry is that the integrated scale is not accurate, as I used the machine to make a sponge recipe I made successfully over and over again in my old mixer (which lasted for 43 years) and the texture was all wrong. I’m going to try it again measuring the ingredients in my normal kitchen scales to see if that was the problem.Review updated to confirm that once I measured out the ingredients for my sponge recipe on my normal scales, the result was perfect sponge again. Therefore, I have concluded that the integrated scales are a feature that I will not use again.
