Excellent device - potentially life saving.
I have experienced missed heart beats, racing heart rates and general irregular heartbeats for about 6 years now.Thankfully they don’t happen very often (can be 6 - 8 months between incidents) however they are concerning when they do occur. I had spoken to my GP, had ECG and had worn a hospital heart monitor for 1 week. However nothing had shown up as there were no incidents during either the ecg or the period I wore the heart monitor. However despite being told not to worry I decided to go ahead and purchase this device. Not cheap but then again you only have one life don’t you….firstly the device seems very well made, connects well (via the supplied strap) to the body and you have the option to monitor (via an app) in real-time to your iPad / iPhone and or then download the data to your IMac or PC for detailed analysis. The reports are good (good enough that my GP has now written a letter on my behalf to see a consultant which would not have been the case without this device). Secondly the charging cable / data cable is not the greatest design. It’s a standard USB one end with a spring loaded clip connector at the other. It’s works fine but the clip is quite weak and does tend to snap (mine did as well). Some people have stated that once broken it renders the device useless however (and I accept you should not need to do this) you can simply place an elastic band over the clip and it works just fine. I did reach out to their customer support as my device was only 9 months old but I expected very little as other people have criticised the customer service. However I received emails and promises of a replacement cable which did indeed arrive 2 weeks later (shipped from China). So overall if you can put up a problematic USB cable the device itself is excellent and from my point of view extremely useful in proving my heart issues are not simply in my head. Plus in my experience the support from the company that made the device was very good.

Very poor quality charging clip and poor customer service.
On opening the product box and examining the contents it was found that the charging clip was broken and unuseable. This charging clip consists of sprung plastic jaws which clip to terminals on the monitoring device in order to charge the imbedded battery. It was found to be broken into two halfs on opening the product box. There was no sign of damage to the box or the packaging in which it arrived. On examining the clip, both pivots were found to be snapped off and in bits. I found this charging clip to be of an appallingly flimsy design.Inside the product box was a card with the manufacturer's website and email address. It invited purchasers to make contact if any problem with the product was found. As, for all I knew, the actual monitor was of good quality, I decided to send an email requesting a replacement charging clip, preferably, if possible, a redesigned clip. In the email I stated from where the product was purchased (Amazon UK) and Amazon's order number. I requested an acknowledgement as soon as possible. Several days went by with no reply. I then sent an email to an address found from a Google search. Again no reply. Eventually I received a reply, believed to be from the first address saying the recipient could find no record of my purchase and would I provide them with more information. This was done by sending a copy of Amazon's confirmation of order. It gave no more information than that already supplied. I made it plain that the product would be returned to Amazon for a refund if a sensible reply was not received promptly. This (return the product) I had to do. A couple of days after the product had been returned, a reply was received stating there were no replacement charging clips in stock at the present time and suggested the product be sent back for a replacement.Readers of this review should note there are at least two other reviews that refer to broken charging clips. So, the reason for the one star given to this product is for very poor accessory design and perceived abysmal service.J.M.

Clever product at a premium price
I ordered this as I have AF and have had this condition for many years. I take prescription drugs in order to manage the condition, but as the years pass, other conditions and the increasing years all have an affect on our general health. So, why this product? I decided that it would be a great advantage to be able to monitor my own heart condition rather than rely solely on a sporadic check completed by my physician on an ad hock basis. In so doing I hope it will provide me with a heads up of any change to my condition that persists, at which point I could then report said change to my doctor. The unit. It arrived well packaged in a branded box that looks professional. On opening it up the various contents are really quite self explanatory and simple to apply to your chest. After charging the device I proceeded to apply it to my chest, after setting up the App. This set up was really simple and the App does a good job of displaying the relevant data.Depending on the length of your test will dictate where you retrieve and analyse the data.I was not surprised by the results that I achieve, as the heart rate reflects that I am always in a state of AF, but it is reassuring that from time to time I can conduct a self test and see if there has been any significant change to the abnormal rhythm. Thankfully, to date, there has been none so I have not needed to share any data, but it is reassuring to know that this is a standard feature I can use if needed.A clever product, at a premium price that provides a degree of confidence in your own health, which I consider is a priceless benefit of this clever device.
